vastaus: You need to register the controller initially via the web to activate it and update the firmware. Once that is done, you don't ever have to connect it to the internet again but some services will not function. -

Can i transfer my configuration/setup from my veralite directly to the vera plus,or do i have to set everything up from scratch?
vastaus: You can transfer configuration/setup from VeratLite directly to VeraPlus. However, device names and scenes will need to be recreated manually. -

Does it connect wirelessly to my router or does it need to be connected to the router by ethernet cable?
vastaus: VeraPlus connects with Ethernet cable. -

Vera Control Hubs & Controllers Editorial Review
The Vera Control VeraPlus-US Smart Home Controller has elicited a diverse set of reviews from users. The device requires an initial web registration to activate and update firmware, but once that's done, it can function without an internet connection for some services. However, some operations like cloud-to-cloud connections will not work. Users can connect to the controller through the local network by typing in its IP address. On the positive side, the User Interface is intuitive, the device works flawlessly for many users, and it has been successful in replacing other Z-Wave hubs.
