According to the review, the product is a good buy as the Blu-ray works great, the picture quality is fantastic and there are no technical issues, and it was delivered timely. However, the series itself is a wasted opportunity to tell an interesting story. The character Black Jack is depicted with an absolute strong conviction of no stance whatsoever, there is no character development that really means anything to what you see later on, and characters that develop into mainstays in the manga have arcs that really don't mean anything outside of maybe a cameo. On the other hand, the show is set during the sixties, and we get to see Dr. Blackjack as a young surgeon.
