Does anyone experience the same issue I do wherein the material these bags are made from is very thin making them tear easily?
vastaus: These bags are the most useless and frustrating product I've ever encountered. They don't tear off evenly along the perforated line, and several bags split lengthwise from the top each time I try to open the top of one to fit it in the container. (No, I don't have long fingernails.) And no, they don't keep the compost pail dry. They are VERY biodegradable, but they self-destruct before they get to the container. I'm throwing the rest of the roll away. -

vastaus: In my experience, yes. They do take a while to completely decompose even in a healthy compost pile. But they do decompose completely. I make sure the bag is completely covered by other matter in the compost pile to help speed up the process. -

vastaus: Right you get 3 boxes of 25 bags each so yes 75 bags per order. I can see where you would be confused. But the price is $6 and change that would be prohibitively expensive for one box. At least that's the way I reasoned it out originally. I think. Maybe. -

I wanted to use these to line a toddler's potty chair. Would these bags hold urine for a couple of hours without degrading?
vastaus: I use them for countertop compost collection and a bag can sit for a few days with fluid and condensation, doesn't leak and they are very sturdy. I've used a lot of them and I really like them. -

I bought these to toss dirty cat litter. Will they hold up at least to the dumpster?
vastaus: We put our daily non compostable garbage in those bags. Not sure how much weight they will hold...but we sometimes fill the bag pretty full. They actually seem pretty sturdy to me. If you feel uncomfortable you could put the bag in a bowl to carry the bag and then and toss the bag at the dumpster.
