Customers review about Laptop Security Locks

Esther

I tried various fingerprinter readers for my laptops in the past, and I have to say that this is the best fingerprint recognition device I ever tried. As soon as you touch the reader, my computer is on instantly. I would strongly recommend anyone who wants to add more security and avoid tying password every time you log in. Love this!!!

This was easy to install and even comes with a small screw driver to assist. Once the red seal on the bottom of the feet were removed the feet sat on the machine just fine and the screws worked. I have a Macbook Pro 13-inch 2016 model and it works great with my kensington lock.

This review is for the large version.rnrnSolid metal. Allows for lag bolts or screws in addition to adhesive backing. Comes with a security plate to cover the fasteners.rnrnNotes:rnrn- If you want to use custom lag bolts, the best size is M5. There is a limited amount of bolthead room, I would recommend using a pan, truss, or round headed fastener. There's between 2.5-3 mm of room for the bolthead. Otherwise you will have to forego using the security plate and leave the fasteners exposed. Perhaps with some strong threadlocker it wouldn't be a problem.rnrn- If the product ships with the security plate already installed, it slides and pops off. It may need to be pushed with a screwdriver from the back but shouldn't need excessive force. It will slide about 1/16" (~1.5mm) towards the longer edges. If one side doesn't work, try sliding to the other side.
