The BOSS RC-505mkII Loop Station is a great machine for on-the-fly music creation. It offers a lot of possibilities, but the user interface is complex and requires a lot of menu diving. Some users have reported bugs in the system, such as one track not recording even with correctly set inputs. Despite being made of plastic, it feels sturdy enough and seems to get the job done. The machine also offers better features than that predecessor, when some effects are not as good as on the mk1.
